Why Over Exaggerate & Give False Statements?

Do you over exaggerate and give false statements in your Network Marketing activities???

As Network marketers, we are asking our prospects among other things, to believe that Network Marketing is much more lucrative than most franchises, yet you can begin in Network Marketing for less than $400 approximately. That initial cost to begin compared with about $1 million for a franchise seems pretty preposterous right? Going even further, the franchise owner will probably earn about $200,000 a year if all goes well, whereas the Network Marketer, can earn up to $200,000 a month after their third or fourth year (with a lot of hard work of course and continuous prospecting).

Over Exaggerate

Now given these figures alone, when an average educated person hears them, it will not make any sense to them, even though these figures have been reached many many times by individuals. So is there any need to go even further with false statements and being over exaggerate? Of course not!!!

MLM already seems too good to be true, yet some marketers like to be over exaggerate and give hyped expectations to their prospects, thinking that this will persuade them to join up. This is the only business where your average person can earn more each month than their local successful Doctor earns in a year.

So is there any need to state to prospects that this kind of money can be earned in just a few months – why do it? If you told them that there is living proof, probably within your get-together room where you are prospecting, however it can be done in about 4 years of hard work. Wouldn’t that satisfy most people?

The fact is nothing works better to convince a person to join our industry than the following honest dialogue following your presentation:

“I think you and your wife would make remarkable partners in this business and I don’t want you to go out of here today with false expectations, so please remember what I am about to tell you. This is the most lucrative and fun profession in the world, but it’s also the hardest work you will ever do.

If you are willing to put in the long hours and commitment for a few years you could end up earning over $100,000 a month and enjoying all the free time you can imagine. I know because I have met people who live this kind of life and earn this kind of money. But remember (and this is the important part), most people fail in this business because they don’t have the willingness to work or they wouldn’t dare leave their comfort zone.

It is tough because you will have to prospect a lot of people and you will be rejected a lot more times than people accepting. But wouldn’t your hard work be worth it for just this short time? And don’t forget you have a whole team backing you because this is all about team work.”

A pretty long paragraph right, but when used in a dialogue it’s not more than a minute of explaining this industry in an honest way. Your prospects will appreciate your honesty, and you will never be accused of creating false statements and expectations. Now given the above dialogue there can be one of two responses. Either your prospect will walk away shaking their head in total disbelief or they will lose their sleep for a week from the excitement.

Either way you are a winner because you have done your job in the correct manner, and their decision will affect their lives and not yours, since remember it’s a numbers game, some will, some won’t, so what. As you bring people into this business make sure you do support them, but without promising you will do it all for them.
